While the basic techniques and theories for achieving a beautiful finish are well established, the wide range of colors and materials available remains one of the greatest attractions of this hobby. In this volume, the authors present a variety of products using construction examples, color samples, and controlled comparison tests. Different kits are built with different colors and materials, each with its own approach and methodology. How does this material behave in a particular situation? What atmosphere does this color create? The authors hope that this book will provide you with practical tips and inspiration for your own projects.

Every trace of use, every figure, every small accessory allows us to tell a story through modeling. In this book, some of today's best model builders present a selection of 1:35 scale models from the Tamiya brand, depicting various German vehicles from the early stages of World War II. The history of the first German armored vehicles of World War II is also the story of rapid technological development and a constantly changing conflict. The models: Panzer I Ausf. B (occupation of Norway 1940); Panzer 35(t) (Operation Typhoon); Panzer II C (Polish campaign 1939); German tank crew (black uniform); Panzer II Ausf. B (Western campaign 1940); Panzer III Ausf. N (Siege of Leningrad); Panzer IV Ausf. G (Eastern Front); Panzer IV Ausf. F2 (North Africa); Panzer IV Ausf. F1 (Eastern Front).

It was exported on a large scale to friendly armies and underwent thirteen different model versions in British service. Over 4,400 were produced. Its main armament evolved from the QF 17-pdr to the 20-pdr and finally to the superior L7 105-mm gun. Many countries used the Centurion for decades, and many Centurion versions were used in all the armies in which it served. Scorpion Miniature Models has released a second volume in a series of model-making reference books designed to inspire model makers to recreate all the important versions of this legendary British tank. In this follow-up volume, model makers with a serious interest in the Centurion will find a wealth of information and inspiration in Ian Wright's models, which depict the later models in great detail. Ian Wright has devoted much of his time over the last decade to modelling British post-war tanks. His incredible models cover the last decade of the Centurion's development. Each build documents the changes necessary to represent the original, while listing the corresponding conversion kits available from Scorpion Miniature Models. Ian Wright's craftsmanship is presented in a readable style with a selection of excellent reference photos. From the Mk.6 to the latest Mk.13, he presents a selection of conversions based on AFV Club 1:35 model kits with many self-built details and the use of SMM and other detailing kits. Each build is presented in chronological order, unpainted, to show every detail change. As a bonus, the Proof-of-Concept Swingfire Centurion and a Stridsvagn 101 are also featured.

By the end of 1944, the Wehrmacht had been pushed back to Germany's borders, and the army's defensive efforts increasingly relied on ad hoc units assembled from decimated tank and infantry formations. Despite the bleak strategic situation and the ever-collapsing front, industrial production had actually been expanded, and labour losses had somehow been offset. Shattered regiments were rebuilt and new units created, and the real striking power of the tank battalions now lay with the Pzkpfw. V Panther, perhaps the most effective armoured vehicle Germany had produced during the Second World War. In Dennis Oliver's 49th volume of the Tank Craft series, he uses archive photos and extensively researched colour illustrations to examine the later models of the Pzkpfw. V Panther and the units that used this vehicle during the bitter defensive battles against the Soviet Army in the final weeks of the war. An important part of his book shows available model kits and detailing products, supplemented by a gallery of built and painted models in various scales. Technical details and modifications made during production and in service are also examined, so that model builders will find everything they need to faithfully recreate these historic tanks.

<img src='https://www.zinnfigur.com/out/pictures/generated/product/1/390_245_75/5623_3048.jpg' border=0 align='left' hspace=5>Volume 48 of the Tank Craft series. The house-to-house fighting in Stalingrad convinced the Wehrmacht that there was an urgent need to develop a heavily armoured vehicle equipped with a weapon capable of destroying enemy positions. The Brummbär, armed with a 15 cm cannon and built on the chassis of the ever-reliable Pzkpfw IV, was superseded by the development of portable anti-tank weapons, so the decision was made to mount an even more powerful cannon on the chassis and hull of the Tiger I tank. The original plan was to equip the new model with a 21 cm howitzer, but as sufficient stocks were not available, a specially adapted version of the Kriegsmarine's 38 cm water bomb launcher was used. Hitler had high expectations for these imposing-looking vehicles and ordered the production of huge ammunition stocks, but in the end, fewer than twenty Sturmmörserwagen 606/4 with 38 cm RW 61, better known as Sturmtiger, were built. Based on official documents and unit histories, Dennis Oliver examines the units that used these rightly famous vehicles, using archive photos and extensively researched colour illustrations to examine the markings, camouflage and technical aspects of the Sturmtigers that fought in the final battles of the war. An important part of his book showcases available model kits and detailing products, supplemented by a gallery of built and painted models in various scales. Technical details and modifications made during production and in service are also examined, providing everything modellers need to faithfully recreate these historic vehicles.

Model builders have been waiting a long time for its return, but unfortunately their wish seems to remain unfulfilled. Today, they can only enjoy the Ferrari kits that are already available. Nevertheless, building these kits offers incredible depth and fascination. In Auto Modelling 38, the authors put the spotlight on Ferrari model building. The models presented show each model builder's definitive interpretation of the prancing horse. In addition to step-by-step examples, you will also find overviews of popular machines and kits that are still relatively easy to obtain today, as well as technical articles on paints and painting techniques.

Since their introduction in 1940, the Wehrmacht's assault guns played an essential role in the Blitzkrieg campaigns, the battles in Russia and the final defensive battles of the war. Based on a mobile bunker buster armed with a short-barrelled howitzer, the assault gun was armoured and equipped with heavier weapons, so that from 1943 onwards it was increasingly used as a tank destroyer. In 1944, the Sturmgeschütz IV was put into service primarily as a stopgap measure, and over 1,000 units were built by the end of the war. As the Wehrmacht's resources continued to dwindle, the Sturmgeschütz were used in every operation and increasingly replaced tanks in official unit lists. In the third volume of the Tank Craft series, which deals with the Sturmgeschütz, Dennis Oliver uses official documents and unit histories to examine the formations that used the Sturmgeschütz IV, and uses archive photos and extensively researched colour illustrations to examine the markings, camouflage and technical aspects of the vehicles used on the Eastern Front during the final months of the campaign. An important part of his book showcases available model kits and aftermarket products, supplemented by a gallery of built and painted models in various scales. Technical details and modifications introduced during production and in service are also examined, so model builders will find everything they need to faithfully recreate these historic vehicles.

In the spring and summer of 1944, a series of Soviet offensives, culminating in Operation Bagration on 22 June, threatened to destroy the entire German army on the Eastern Front. While infantry units desperately tried to hold provisional defensive positions, mobile tank battalions were the only units capable of closing the ever-widening gaps in the front. One of the most important weapons in the Wehrmacht's arsenal at that time was the Panther tank, which had first seen action in July 1943. Equipped with a powerful 7.5 cm gun, these tanks could penetrate the armour of the strongest Soviet designs, and it was planned that each tank regiment would eventually include a battalion of these impressive vehicles. In the 46th volume of the Tank Craft series, Dennis Oliver continues the story of these vehicles and, using archive photos and extensively researched colour illustrations, examines the Panther battalions that pushed back the Red Army's advance to the borders of Germany in 1944. An important part of his book shows available model kits and aftermarket products, supplemented by a gallery of built and painted models in various scales. Technical details and modifications made during production and in service are also examined, so that model builders will find everything they need to faithfully recreate these historic tanks.
