As was the case with the 2A7, the comprehensive modifications to the 2A7V - which primarily affect the areas of protection, mobility, controllability, endurance and firepower - consist of both performance-enhancing measures and complementary ones.
This publication shows the Leopard main battle tank in its most modern combat upgrade configuration 2A7V for the very first time in service and in great technical detail.

Dr. Nicolaus Hettler had already dealt with every single type of these vehicles with one exception and with issue no. 45 he closes the last gap, the Sd.Kfz. 10, the 1-ton tractor. In addition to the well-known versions as towing vehicle and as self-propelled gun carriage with Pak and Flak, he also presents further developments by the Adler company, which were ultimately no longer built in series. As usual in the series, the vehicles are presented with technical and colour drawings, as well as with historical photos and photographs of restored vehicles from private ownership.

As usual in this series, the vehicles are presented with technical and colour drawings as well as historical photos and photos of restored vehicles from private collections.

Therefore, in the second half of 1944, corresponding development orders were placed with German industry, which quickly ended in proposals for the "Brummbär", the Sturmpanzer IV (Sd.Kfz. 166).

The work has a comprehensive illustration consisting of 396 photos, including 167 contemporary b/w photos from regulations and operations, 208 colour photos of restored vehicles, 21 colour photos of vehicle models, 21 plates with coloured vehicle profiles and 25 true-to-scale sketches.

However, based on the most recent research, such a view can no longer be considered feasible today. Over recent years, the author has undertaken a completely updated and unbiased assessment of the KV and its true role on the battlefields of the Eastern Front. Analysing new findings, it can now be claimed with certainty that the KVs legacy has been severely underestimated. Consequently, this book is the authors fully updated and completely fresh take on a legendary Soviet tank design that came as a total surprise to its enemies, which slowed down the German advance under the most adverse circumstances and to such a degree that it laid the foundation for Soviet victory four years later.
The author goes as far as to say that the KVs role on the Eastern Front of 1941 had, in many respects, similar tactical and emotive impacts on the enemy as the German Tiger tank did on the Western Allies in Normandy in 1944.

This comprehensive publication provides fully updated research on the KV family of tanks, development of its prototypes and pre-series vehicles, the series production batches and its deployment in combat, as well as correcting previously published mistakes. Many new findings are illustrated in astonishing hitherto unknown detail and include new variants that are shown for the very first time. An additional and extensive chapter also rewrites the story of KV tanks serving in the German Wehrmacht as KW Beutepanzers.

Limited Edition: 999 copies

The urban conflict in Gaza is currently being fought at close range and in built-up areas. This form of warfare traditionally negates any advantage one side has over the other in terms of armoured vehicles, artillery or air support. The IDF has many years of experience in urban warfare, which they call "LASHAB". The modern IDF soldier is fully trained in this type of conflict and is a force to be reckoned with. This book is truly unique. The images in it come directly from the perspective of an IDF company commander. It gives us an unbiased insight into the actual combat, the soldiers and the machines involved in this ongoing conflict.

What did the Belgian police do with a "whirlwind"? Who painted a heart on his Sd.Kfz.251/3 command vehicle? What happened to Kampfgruppe Maucke near Hemroulle? Which unit left its armoured personnel carrier at a customs building? The answers to these and other questions can be found here in Panzerwrecks 26. These illustrated books captivate with their large-format photos of German armoured vehicles as taken by Allied soldiers. In contrast to the first 22 volumes in the series, the size has been considerably increased again to 128 pages and there are QR codes for various photos that make the location where they were taken accessible today using Google Streetview. This volume contains photos of: Tiger II as command vehicle; Tiger II; Tiger I; Panther Ausf.G; Panther Ausf.G (steel wheels); Jagdpanther; Pz.Kpfw.IV Ausf.J; Pz.Bef.Wg.IV Ausf.G; Panzer IV/70(V); Sturmgeschütz IV; Flakpanzer Wirbelwind; Flakpanzer Möbelwagen; Hummel; Sturmgeschütz III Ausf.G; Sturmgeschütz III Ausf.G (camouflaged); Jagdpanzer 38; Sd.Kfz.251/1; Sd.Kfz.251/3; Sd.Kfz.251/8; Sd.Kfz.251/9; Sd.Kfz.251/17; Sd.Kfz.250/1; Sd.Kfz.250/3 or 5; Sd.Kfz.250 with 2cm Kw.K; Sd.Kfz.10/5; Sd.Kfz.11/1 or 11/4; Sd.Kfz.7; Sd.Kfz.6/2
heavy Wehrmacht tractor; Sd.Kfz.233
3.7cm Flak 36 on Daimler-Benz L4500A; M8 Light Armoured Car (as German captured vehicle).

The development picked up speed from 1908 when the first comparative trial runs were held to find suitable subsidy truck models for the role of Armeelastzug (truck-trailer combination). After war had broken out, the solo truck took over this role of supplying the Kaiser's troops on all frontlines.
This publication tells, for the first time ever, the story of how the Lastkraftwagen (cargo truck) became the backbone of German military supply operations in World War One.

The creation and organisation of the Kraftfahrtruppe (Army Motor Transport Corps) is extensively portrayed in text, followed by richly illustrated chapters on the trucks of individual manufacturers. These include major players such as Benz, Daimler and Opel; truck-building legends such as Büssing, Horch, Mannesmann-Mulag and Stoewer - names that today have all faded into history; and also enigmatic makes such as Ageka, Komnick and Windhoff, to name just a few. Additional chapters on wartime service, as well as uniforms, complete the survey of this early era of German military motoring in hitherto unseen completeness.

This publication covers the introduction and the many technical improvements of the new 2A7-variant of the Leopard family in great detail. It is the updated and enlarged version of the previous Special 5058 and now for the first time includes all upgrades and modernisation measures carried out on the 2A7 between 2016 and 2019. With this work the gap that existed in available documentations between the first Leopard 2A7 and the new Leopard 2A7V is now closed on sixteen additional pages.

Missions of the different corps focused on possible main points of entry that might be used by well-equipped tank armies of the Warsaw Pact: I. (GE) Corps was responsible for the north German plain, III. (GE) Corps for the Fulda Gap and II. (GE) Corps for the low and high mountain ranges of southern Germany. In the 1970s, in turn each of the German corps conducted a Heeresübung full-force field training exercise (FTX) with participating Allied units from the US, UK, Canada and the Netherlands. This is the story of three of these major FTXs and the military vehicles involved.

This publication provides a detailed description in words and pictures of the three full-scale army exercises "Großer Bär 76", "Standhafte Chatten 77" and "Blaue Donau 78", including the Bundeswehr vehicle fleet and the participating Allied units.

What do rocket-firing "Typhoons" do to a tank? Whose "Tiger" tank was knocked out twice in Normandy? Whose assault gun was pushed into a river? How can a Pzkpfw. IV be put out of action with a 37 mm cannon? Which "fire-breathing" vehicle was used in Normandy? The answers to these and other questions can be found in "Panzerwrecks" Volume 25.

These illustrated volumes captivate with their large-format photos of German armoured vehicles as taken by Allied soldiers. In contrast to the first 22 volumes of the series, the scope has been considerably extended to 128 pages and various photos are accompanied by QR codes that make the location of the photos accessible today via Google Streetview.

It became the largest ever exercise of the REFORGER manoeuvre series, approximately 125000 soldiers were involved: American, German, Canadian, French and Danish. The command and umpire sections alone were 10000 strong. In the field were 15000 wheeled vehicles, 7000 tracked vehicles (including 1095 M60, M1 Abrams, Leopard 1 and Leopard 2 MBTs), 795 anti-tank missile launchers, 400 artillery pieces, 92 M270 multiple-launch rocket systems and 631 helicopters (including 200 combat and anti-tank helicopters).
This publication tells the story of the exercise in great detail and shows the involved military equipment in many action-oriented and hitherto unpublished photographs.

The referee force alone comprised 10,000 men. The field included 15,000 wheeled vehicles, 7,000 tracked vehicles (including 1095 M60, M1 "Abrams", "Leopard" 1 and "Leopard" 2 main battle tanks), 795 launchers for anti-tank guided missiles, 400 artillery pieces, 92 M270 MLRS multiple rocket launchers and 631 helicopters (including 200 combat and anti-tank helicopters).
This documentation shows the military technology in the manoeuvre in impressive photos and traces the course of the exercise in great detail.

In addition to the Soviet Union, United Kingdom and France, the American troops took over the administration of a sector of the city. In the following years Berlin would see historic events such as the Allied Airlift and the construction of the intra-German border, the "Wall". The U.S. Army, at first with the Berlin Military Post, then with the Berlin Command and finally with the Berlin Brigade, provided core support in defending the city against Soviet agitation, last but not least by providing a continued deterrent most visible by the presence of tanks. This publication shows, with many hitherto unpublished photos, the vehicles used by the U.S. forces in Berlin from 1950-1994 - predominantly the tanks that kept the permanent Soviet threat at bay.

The U.S. Army, first with the "Berlin Military Post", then the "Berlin Command" and later with the "Berlin Brigade", provided the city with a valuable service to preserve freedom from 1945 until its dissolution in 1994, not least through the permanent presence of battle tanks. This publication contains numerous previously unpublished photos of the vehicles used by the US armed forces, primarily the battle tanks, which served as a symbol of deterrence against possible Soviet intervention from 1950-1994.

Its structure and equipment enables it to conduct long-range attacks, or fast and powerful attacks with a closer target. In addition, the Panzertruppe serves to conduct and support national and alliance defence measures, as well as international conflict prevention and crisis management. The main task of main battle tanks of the Panzertruppe is to fight against enemy tank formations in open terrain.

Today, as in the early days of the Bundeswehr, the Panzertruppe is the backbone of mechanised forces of the Bundeswehr. Its main weapon system today is the Leopard 2 main battle tank and it also fields an impressive range of wheeled and tracked support vehicles. This publication offers, for the first time ever, a comprehensive visual overview on the various state-of-the-art vehicles used by the Panzertruppe today, from motorcycle to main battle tank, illustrates the organisation of a German armour battalion and tells the story of the Bundeswehr's armour battalions active today.

As a fully digitized combat vehicle, it also forms the basis of the "Armoured Infantry Soldier" and is capable of seamlessly integrating the expanded "Infantryman of the Future" system. The Puma's new weapon systems, such as the MELLS anti-tank guided missile, not only enable more firepower, but also allow unrestricted day and night operations, on the move and with greater range. In consequence, the Puma VJTF combines the principle of fire and movement with improved armour and a multifunctional self-protection system.
