In the German colonies many buildings were erected by the German Empire since the 1880s.
Here a typical simple settler's house with thatched roof, set on fire in case of fighting.

This type of house can be used for the whole area of the European colonies and also for many other occasions. For figures from 25 to 45 mm as background.

The German colonies were acquired by the German Empire since the 1880s and ceded after the First World War according to the Treaty of Versailles of 1919. They were called protectorates by Bismarck because he wanted to protect German trade in them.

The German colonial railways in the colonies of the German Empire were built from the end of the 19th century until 1916.
In 1910 the Westafrikanische Pflanzungs-Gesellschaft built its own small railway with 60 cm gauge. The railway had a length of 66 kilometres and connected the coastal town of Victoria with Zwingenberger Hof near the main town of Soppo. In between were the company's plantations. It therefore served primarily to transport plant products, but was also used to a limited extent for passenger transport.
Note: after removal of the lettering "Victoria", the figure can be used for many other purposes.

Der Struwwelpeter (1845) (or Shockheaded Peter) is a German children's book by Heinrich Hoffmann. It comprises ten illustrated and rhymed stories, mostly about children. Each has a clear moral that demonstrates the disastrous consequences of misbehavior in an exaggerated way. Der Struwwelpeter is one of the earliest books for children that combines visual and verbal narratives in a book format, and is considered a precursor to comic books.

"Die Geschichte vom Suppen-Kaspar" (The Story of the Soup-Kaspar) begins as Augustus, a healthy, strong boy, proclaims that he will no longer eat his soup. Over the next five days he wastes away and dies.

"Die Geschichte von den schwarzen Buben" (The Story of the Black Boys), "Nikolas" (referred to in some translations as "Agrippa") catches three boys teasing a dark-skinned boy. To teach them a lesson, he dips the three boys in black ink.
"Die Geschichte vom bösen Friederich" (The Story of Bad Frederick), a violent boy terrorizes animals and people. Eventually he is bitten by a dog, who goes on to eat the boy's sausage while he is bedridden.
"Die gar traurige Geschichte mit dem Feuerzeug (Pauline)" (The Dreadful Story of the Matches), a girl plays with matches and burns to death.

Various river gunboats (river gunboats, ironclads), dive and torpedo boats such as the CSS Hunley or the David (forerunner of the submarines) as well as rammers, monitors, steam frigates, screw corvettes, etc. With these small models you can show battles with ships like the CSS Virginia (ex Merrimack), USS Monitor or USS Housatonic and CSS Alabama on the Mississippi River or in Fort Sumter Bay.
These ships are also suitable for colonial scenes with gunboats on the coasts and on the rivers of Africa and China etc. (various colonial powers) until 1900. Also naval battles 1864 to 1900. Size: Dampffregatte: Length about 11 cm, height about 9 cm. Everything is very suitable for the background.
Except two ships all engraved on both sides.

A Monitor is a relatively small and slow warship, but armed with very heavy guns in one or more turrets, designed for use in shallow coastal waters and on rivers.
The ship type is named after the ironclad USS Monitor, the first ship of this type built by the USA (Northern States) during the American Civil War.
These ships were not intended for classic naval combat or for use in fleet formations, but were only conditionally seagoing platforms for a few large-calibre guns for coastal defence or for attacking land targets. - Wikipedia -

Gorgeous plastic stone bridge with railing to assemble. Complete kit: two side parts and a sheet metal strip (path) are included. Length approx. 24 cm. For 30 to 50 mm figures.

Note on assembling: bend the sheet metal strip slightly and glue on both side parts.
