Built towards the end of the Second World War, the Horten H IX was the logical continuation of the Horten brothers' flying wing concept into the jet age. As with all Horten aircraft, it was a flying wing design. H IX was the designation of the first two prototypes. The Reichsluftfahrtministerium assigned the number 8-229 for series production, 8 being a code number for aircraft in general.
Sometimes the designation Gotha Go 229 - after the intended production company Gothaer Waggonfabrik - is also used. In practice, however, the production company was generally irrelevant to the naming. Since the Horten brothers were not employees of the Gothaer Waggonfabrik company and also officially maintained their own aircraft company - albeit without significant production capacity - the naming Horten Ho 229 is more likely. However, the most outstanding heavy trucks are from the U.S. Now, you can see heavy trucks carrying tens of tons of goods running on the roads and their cumulative mileage has reached hundreds of thousands of miles. The Heavy Equipment Transport System (HETS) is a behemoth among the U.S. military equipment. In 1977, to meet the need of the U.S. military, Oshkosh released the M911 heavy tractor. It can haul the M747 semi-trailer for road transportation of heavy equipment, with a maximum payload of 68.95t. Before the M1070 tractor was put into service in 1993, the M911 was one of the most important HETS in the U.S. military service.

Developed in 1943, the Tiger II, also known unofficially as the Königstiger, went into series production at Henschel in 1944. The Königstiger combined the requirements for armour protection and firepower in an outstanding manner. The front armour of up to 150 mm thickness could not be penetrated by shells from the on-board guns of enemy battle tanks. The hull sides were armoured up to 80 mm thick. Despite several massive bombing raids by the Allies on the Henschel factory in Kassel, a total of 492 Tiger IIs were delivered to the troops, including the prototypes and 50 vehicles equipped with a Porsche turret. However, not all of these reached the front lines. A large number of the Tiger IIs were lost due to drive problems resulting from the high total weight or simply due to lack of fuel.
