Nevertheless, the JB-2 were accepted into service by the US Army, USAAF and US Navy and used until the mid-1950s. The kit comes on three styrene sprues joined by a fret of etches and 3D-printed parts. The decals cover markings for four US JB-2 missiles, three of which were in an Olive Green scheme and one white overall.

- attractive colour schemes and decals
- etches and 3D-printed parts contained in the kit

During the air battles of World War II, both warring sides had to react to the introduction of new, more powerful types of enemy aircraft. The deployment of the new German Fw 190 fighter in 1941 not only brought the rather hasty development of new versions of the Spitfire fighter, but also accelerated the introduction of the new Hawker Typhoon Mk.I fighters into regular service. The introduction of the Typhoons was very complicated and, since it soon became clear that the Typhoon had certain limitations as a fighter, Hawker's chief designer, Sydney Camm, began the development of an improved version. Due to the number of changes, this new fighter was named Tempest. And it became one of the best fighters of World War II.
The plastic parts are broken down into eight sprues of grey plastic and one clear parts sprue, joined with 3D printed radar parts and radiator protection, combining 3D printed parts and etches. The surface of large parts is covered with fine rivets. Detailed colour instructions in A4 format will guide you through the construction of the model. The instructions and two decal sheets offer a choice of four Tempest colour schemes, depicting machines whose pilots achieved V-1 missile kills. These are American, New Zealander, British and Polish. The decals also include full set of servicing stencils, including those for the cockpit and drop tanks.

- masks, figures and many many more sets available for the kit
- superbly detailed model kit that also contains 3D printed parts and a small fret of etches
- decal sheet with markings for machines of pilots from various nations and with interesting background

In Europe, the need was rather for a specialised anti-tank machine which led to the development of the Q/S version of the Cobra, armed with anti-tank missiles.
ICMs 1/32 AH-1G Cobra styrene parts are accompanied with our own new grey plastic parts, clear canopy parts, one resin part and a sheet of decals to turn the older G version into the Q/S anti tank helicopter. The decal sheet contains markings for machines of three operators, the US Army, Turkish military and the Israeli air force. The kit comes in limited release only.

- the AH-1Q/S version has never been produced before in 1/32 scale
- limited release
- interesting schemes

The G.50bis version was a response to earlier Italian fighter types that lacked in their performance compared to modern fighters of their opponents. Some of the Fiat fighters were also fitted with a pair of underwing pylons so that they could be used in the ground attack role too. At the same time it was also planned to deploy the Fiat G.50bis/N fighter with an arrestor hook on the currently being built Aquila and Sparviero aircraft carriers, this however never materialised as the carriers were never finished.
Our model kit comes on four styrene sprues, it also contains a clear plastic canopy, detail 3D-printed and resin parts (among which is also an excellent replica of the Fiat A.74 powerplant) and a fret of etched parts. The fighter bomber or the navalized G.50bis/N type can be built using this kit.

- interesting versions never kitted before
- colourful schemes
- superbly detailed model
- clear parts pre-cut masks, resin wheels and pilot figure also separately available for this kit

Not long before the outbreak of WW2, the British Air Ministry issued a requirement calling for two types of fighter aircraft, one light weight with machine gun armament and the other one with heavy cannon armament. To these requirements, the machine gun armed Hurricanes and Spitfires were designed, while to fit the second category, the Westland offered their Whirlwind twin engined Cannon Fighter. This type was eventually produced in more than a hundred examples and further production was ceased only by the shortage of the Peregrine engines. The Whirlwinds were deployed over the English Channel in fighter and ground attack missions. For the latter ones, the Whirlwinds were fitted with bomb racks and were designated FB Mk.I. This modification proved very successful and it became more than clear that the Whirlwinds suit these types of missions very well indeed.
Our model of the Whirlwind now comes in the Hi-Tech format and contains ten styrene sprues, one with clear parts, a fret of photo etched details, set of 3D-printed parts and also resin parts. These details improve the cockpit area substantially and also make it possible to leave the nose section open to show the four Hispano cannon armament to good advantage. The decal sheet offers markings for four green and grey RAF machines, two of 263 Sqn and the other two of 137 Sqn. One of the schemes has a title under the canopy and another one sports the striking black and white wing undersurfaces, the makrings carried for the Operation Stalker.

- top notch equipped model kit containing multi-material accessory sets
- two decal sheets
- eye-catching colour and marking schemes

In 1940, the RA faced a difficult task as besides new pilots requiring the pilot training, those many already accustomed to flying in the open cockpit of a biplane needed to learn to fly modern, fast monoplanes with retracting undercarriage. And the Fiat G.50B suited this need very well. This two-place variety of the standard G.50 fighter came about by adding another pilots seat in place of the fuselage armament, in front of the standard cockpit. In total, 100 of these trainers were built and became a welcome addition to the Regia Aeronautica and a few also saw service with the Luftwaffe and the military of Croatia. One such machine survived the war and went on serving with the new Italian Air Force until 1948.
The model kit contains five grey styrene sprues, one with clear parts, finely detailed resin parts and etches. The decals cater for four marking options, machines of the Regia Aeronautica, Luftwaffe, Croatian Air Force and the post-war Italian Air Force.

- Highly unusual and rare version
- colourful schemes
- resin cast parts and etches in the box

But their supremacy did not last long, they got obsolete quite soon afterwards and stood no chance against new biplane fighter aeroplanes of the Allies which possessed much better performance. German designers were thus forced to try and find a suitable replacement type quickly. Martin Kreutzer, a Fokkers designer, came with several varieties of a biplane fighter design designated as the M.17, one of which later reached production status and was known as the Fokker D.II. It was armed with one synchronized machine gun and the first machines of a total of 181 produced got to the front in the summer of 1916 and went on fighting until August 1917. However, beginning with very late 1916, they became to be employed on less exposed sections of the front or just to defend industrial centers against bombing raids of the Allies.

The kit contains three styrene sprues, two of them in short run standard, the third one is produced using metal moulds and brings the smallest items of the kit. A photo etched set and a windshield pre-printed on a piece of clear film are also offered in the kit. The decal sheet caters for two machines, both of which were flown by Lt.Fritz Grünzweig, a fighter pilot also renowned as an excellent painter, cartoonist and a buffoon. His machines were adorned with elaborated mouths and eyes on the cowlings and thus belonged to the most eye-catching of all Fokker D.IIs

BoPi, an acronym for Bombardier in Picaj, or dive bomber.

In the late 1930s, the Polish PZL P.11 and P.24 all-metal, high wing fighter planes were produced under licence by I.A.R., Industria Aeronautica Romana. As it was quite clear that such type of design was nearing obsolescence and the future belonged to low wing fighters with retractable undercarriage and enclosed canopy, a design team led by Ion Grosu was formed with the aim to project a modern warplane of such sort. Using the P.24´s fuselage structure, a new fighter plane was created and named the I.A.R.80. The first prototype airframe was fitted with the I.A.R. 14K-IIc32 fourteencylinder, double-row radial, delivering 870 hp and was taken aloft for the first time on April 4, 1939. The new fighter had performance approaching that of contemporary foreign designs like the Hurricane, P-36, MS 406 and Bf 109D. Various changes to the planes armament led to the I.A.R.80 A, B and C sub-versions being created, and also the I.A.R.81 C which was designed for the fighter-bomber role in the spring of 1941. A specialised dive bomber version, the I.A.R.81 BoPi was also built, fitted with a hinged underbelly bomb rack of design similar to that of the Stuka. When the bomb was released during the dive, the rack swung it outside the propeller arc. Two batches of the BoPi version were built, machines c/n 91-105 and c/n 151-175

The Romania Air Force´s fighter and ground attack units were equipped with the I.A.R.80/81 type right from the beginning of the country´s involvement in the Second World War and until the end of hostilities. Fifty I.A.R.80s were in service during the attack against the Soviet Union on 22 June 1941. The 6th Group (61st and 62nd squadrons) and the 8th Group (41st and 60th Squadrons) were engaged at Stalingrad front during the autumn of 1942. 1 August 1943 saw I.A.R.80 & 81s defending the Ploiesti oil plants from attack by USAAF B-24 Liberators, during Operation Tidal Wave, when the Rumanian fighters downed some of the heavy bombers. On 10 June 1944, I.A.R.81Cs from 6th Fighter Group confronted P-38 Lightnings belonging to the USAAF 82nd and 1st FG (American pilots mistakenly reported having fought Fw 190As).

Romania joined the Allies on 24 August 1944, and changed back the national insignia worn by its aircraft from crosses to traditional blue, yellow and red roundels. Being under Soviet command, the I.A.R.80/81 units saw combat over Hungary and later also during the liberation of Czechoslovakia over the areas of Moravia and Slovakia, where they enjoyed and suffered their final victories and losses. Remaining airframes of the 80/81 type kept on serving in Romania until the 1950s, some of them also being rebuilt in 1950 to advanced trainer version known as the I.A.R.81DC.

In the box adorned with a bomb-laden I.A.R.81 BoPi airplane, the modeller will find in total seven injection moulded sprues made using steel tools, one clear styrene sprue with canopy parts and other smaller clear items, nicely detailed set of resin parts and a fret of photo etches. The model comes complete with the centre-line rack bomb and underwing bombs and their racks. The decals offer four Romanian options, two of them in a three-tone scheme, the other two in two-tone camouflage.
