Thanks to its robustness, reliability, and performance, it secured a significant position in the European truck market and became the most widespread industrial vehicle in Italy at the end of the 1980s. It was produced in numerous versions and configurations to meet the precise and specific needs of user companies. Very commonespecially for the needs of food logisticswere the insulated and refrigerated cell versions. The vehicles configuration and the sturdy twin-wheel rear axle also offered good load capacity and an excellent balance between size and transported cargo volume.

In comparison to the Fiat CR.32 and Fiat CR.42 biplanes, which still formed the backbone of the Italian fighter units at the beginning of the Second World War, the Macchi MC 200 - together with the Fiat G.50 of the same time - was characterised by a monoplane configuration and an all-metal structure. The 14-cylinder twin-star Fiat A.74 RC.38 engine could develop an output of 840 hp and enabled the Macchi MC 200 to reach a top speed of 500 km/h. Compared to the corresponding Allied fighters, however, the Macchi MC 200 was relatively underpowered and, above all, inadequately armed. The armament consisted of just two 12.7 mm Breda SAFAT machine guns mounted above the characteristic humped engine cowling. In the final versions, two additional 7.7 mm Breda SAFAT machine guns were installed in the wings. The Macchi MC 200 was used by the Regia Aeronautica on the most important fronts of the Second World War: in Africa, the Mediterranean, the Balkans and Russia.

It was handcrafted by car manufacturer Bugatti from 1929 to 1933 in just six examples. In addition to its imposing and "monumental" dimensions, it was equipped with one of the largest car engines of all time with a displacement of over 12,000 cm3. Ettore Bugatti's idea was to build a car so prestigious that it would only be sold to a very small circle of potential customers, including the ruling houses of the time. The six "Type 41s" produced had the same chassis and the same engine, but differed in terms of body design. Of the six "Royale" cars produced, the Coupé Napoléon was probably the most beautiful in terms of the chassis. It was characterised by an elegant, two-tone body in black and blue and an elegant velour interior. It was Ettore Bugatti's private car for many years and is considered an icon of automobile production worldwide.

The aerospace industry team led by Lockheed Martin created the single-seat, single-engine, F-35 Lightning II. It utilises stealth technology and is characterized by its trapezoidal wings plus the incorporation of the most advanced hi-tech materials and avionic systems. Designed in several different configurations, its role is to provide air superiority, close air support and engage in ground attack missions. The F-35A is the conventional takeoff and landing variant, the F-35B is the short takeoff and vertical landing variant and the F-35C, with foldable-wings, has been developed to be used from deck carriers. Due to its operational flexibility, the advanced on-board technology and the impressive project innovation, the fighter has been favourably received and deployed by many countries air forces.

During the course of the conflict, it was regularly improved in terms of engine power and armament in order to continue to compete with more modern aircraft with higher flight performance. Together with the Focke-Wulf Fw 190, it formed the backbone of the Luftwaffe's fighter units. The most famous German fighter pilots flew on the Bf 109 and achieved a significant number of aerial victories. Among them, we particularly remember the pilots of the famous Jagdgeschwader 52 and the most successful flying ace of the Second World War: Erich Hartmann.

Characterized by a wooden structure, it featured the typical Italian three-engine configuration. More specifically, its three 1,000 hp Piaggio P.XI radial engines allowed the CANT Z.1007 to reach a maximum speed of 450 km/h. The aircraft could carry 1,200 kg of offensive payload housed in an internal bomb bay. The crew typically consisted of five men, which could increase to six with the addition of a photographic operator for reconnaissance and maritime patrol missions. It was mainly employed in the Mediterranean, Balkan, and North African theaters of operation and is often considered the best medium bomber of the Regia Aeronautica.

Kfz. 232 (Schwere Panzerspähwagen 232) was deployed by Wehrmacht units in the mid-thirties. The effective management of reconnaissance and radio communications between units was an essential feature of rapidly moving military operations known as "blitzkrieg". The armored car Sd.Kfz. 232 was a key component in meeting this need. The mobility of the six-wheeled vehicle, both on and off-road, was complemented by enhanced radio communications equipment which was equally effective over both short and long range. The armored car was fitted with a voluminous antenna frame which was then later replaced with a vertical antenna that ensured effective battlefield communications between commanders and troops. The turret armament provided sufficient firepower for both vehicle defense and on advanced reconnaissance missions.

Designed to effectively counter the Japanese Zero, it was equipped with the powerful 2,000-horsepower Pratt & Whitney R-2800 engine, which provided high speed and excellent flight performance. Armed with six 12.7 mm Browning machine guns mounted in the wings, in the hands of trained pilots it proved extremely effective both in air superiority missions to defend the fleet and in close support and ground attack missions. The impressive kill-to-loss ratio demonstrated the operational efficiency of the Hellcat design.

The design was immediately recognised as extremely interesting, as it adopted stylistic solutions that revived the "classic" Fiat 500, which was launched in 1957, in a modern and contemporary form. Based on the Fiat 500, the interesting 500 Abarth version was also created, following in the footsteps of Fiat's historic small sports car, which had been in production since the late 1950s. The "Abarth" differs from the original model by adopting a significantly sportier design with air intakes, side sills and enlarged bumpers. Significant changes were also made to the mechanics: a turbocharged engine that guarantees outstanding performance, sports exhaust systems with the characteristic sound and lowered suspension to emphasise road holding.

Equipped with two Turbomeca engines, it can reach a cruising speed of 260 km/h. The helicopters airframe was designed to withstand intensive use in all operational environments, including long-range missions, thanks to a range of 800 km. Furthermore, the adoption of retractable landing gear significantly improves aerodynamics during flight phases. The combination of these features has, over time, built the reputation of the Super Puma as a robust, reliable helicopter, ideal for the most demanding and challenging military and civilian missions. It has also been continuously upgraded in terms of avionics and electronic navigation support systems to further extend its useful operational life.

It was developed as a direct response to the Soviet T-34 and KV-1 tanks, which outclassed the now outdated Panzer III and Panzer IV on the Eastern Front in terms of performance and firepower. Powered by a 700-horsepower Maybach V-12 engine, it was armed with the highly effective high-velocity 75 mm KwK 42 gun, particularly suited for anti-tank use. Thanks to a well-designed layout that optimized protectionthrough the adoption of sloped frontal armormobility, speed, and firepower, the Panther can be considered one of the best tanks of the Second World War. It was employed on all major fronts, from Italy to France to the Eastern Front. The D version was the first to enter operational service on the battlefield.

The renowned family of off-road vehicles was developed by the Japanese company Toyota Motor Corporation in the 1950s. It is in fact the companys longest-running nameplate from the Land of the Rising Sun and has constantly evolved in design, engines, and technological solutions. Among the most iconic models, the J-40 series, produced from the 1960s to the 1980s, stands out. Characterized by a classic and understated design, it was known for its robustness and reliability. It was available with three wheelbases: short, medium (such as the J-44, which achieved great commercial success), and long. It came with Diesel or Petrol engines depending on the target markets. The Safari version, featuring more extreme equipment and trim, further enhanced the vehicles strength and reliability in all environmental conditions.

A single-engine, low-wing aircraft equipped with effective offensive armament, it formed, in its early versions, together with the Hawker Hurricane, the backbone of the Royal Air Force fighter units during the Battle of Britain against the German Luftwaffe. Victory in the Battle of Britain helped to secure great prestige for the Spitfire. It was characterized by its harmonious design, elliptical wing, and powerful Rolls-Royce Merlin engine. During the war, in order to respond to the technological innovations of its adversaries that led to the development of the formidable Focke-Wulf Fw 190, the Spitfire was continuously evolved in its aerodynamic configuration and engines. The Spitfire Mk IX then entered production and, thanks to its performance, was able to compete on equal terms with the most modern German fighters. Piloted by the most famous aces of the Royal Air Force, it achieved a significant number of aerial victories.

It was developed to meet the specific requirement of the Luftwaffe, following the extension of supply lines, to transport troops and materials over long distances. Initially developed from a glider, it was equipped with six radial engines mounted on the wing leading edge, capable of providing sufficient power for fully loaded flight operations. The enormous fuselage was able to carry troopsmore than 120 mensupplies, artillery pieces, and light vehicles. Its great transport capacity compromised its maximum speed, which only slightly exceeded 240 km/h. It was employed on the North African and Tunisian fronts to supply the Afrika Korps from bases in Sicily, as well as on the Russian front. It is considered a milestone in transport aircraft history.
