Caunter Camouflage scheme on AFV and vehicles, as well other equipment
included in this new ordinance for disruptive camouflage. The
colors have been developed especially, following the historical references

Set of 8 model Air colors which include all the references needed to
paint any type of British army vehicles, used between 1939 and 1945,
beginning with the forces stationed in British territory, the Expeditionary
forces in France and the forces in Italy and on the European front.
The references of the colors used by the British armed forces on light
vehicles or tanks were ruled by very strict regulations and in accordance
with the date and specific operation, however exact historical colors,
such as those employed by Tarmac, were not available for reproduction
even though already in 1931, a color chart with these colors was
available. For the colors of this set we have been assisted by the expert
Mike Starmer, whose work is well known by modelers and historians.

Set of 8 Model Air colors, containing a selection of colors needed for
painting any type of British army vehicles, used between 1939 and 1943
and deployed from the African front up to Egypt and the Middle East.
The color references used by the British on light and armored vehicles
relate to a very strict order of applications by date and operation,
however the exact historical colors, such as those employed by Tarmac,
were not available for reproduction, although even in 1931 a color chart
already existed with the exact shades. In this aspect, the advice of Mike
Starmer, well known to modelers and historians, has been invaluable.

A special set of 3rd Generation acrylic paints intended for finishing British tanks from WW1 period painted in Khaki Brown, using the modulation technique.

The Khaki Brown color was created to disguise such low speed monsters in the mud and mire of No Mans Land.

Each color is different and combining them allows for easy creation of a visual volume to your model and achieving subtle color transitions.

It is recommended not to avoid using any color during the process. The paints can be mixed with each other to get futher subtle tonal variation useful for larger areas or for larger models.

A 3rd Generation acrylic paint set featuring the six basic camouflage colors used for painting vehicles of British and Commonwealth forces deployed in North Africa and the Mediterranean from mid-1940 to the spring of 1943.

Silver Grey No.28, Slate No.34 and Light Stone No.61 or Portland Stone No.64 were used for the so-called Caunter Scheme employed from July 1940 until October 1941, when a single overall color of Light Stone No.61 (sometimes replaced with Portland Stone No.64) was introduced.

In December 1941, application of camouflage patterns in a chosen color was allowed.

In October 1942, Desert Pink ZI was introduced as the new basic color, with Dark Olive Green PFI to be used for patterning.

These would remain the official standard colors until April 1943.

During WW2 British Army vehicles in Europe were painted according to Army Council Instructions and Military Training Pamphlets. Generally two-greens camo (G4 over G3) and then two-browns camo (S.C.C. 1A over S.C.C. 2, result of shortage of ingredients used for green colours) were most commonly used from 1939 till 1943. In October 1943 a blue-black colour (S.C.C. 14) was approved as a main shade over S.C.C. 2. From April 1944 S.C.C. 15 became the last war-period base colour of british AFV.

This Set contains all of the above mentioned colours, providiing for the first time comprehensive and reliable range of colours for British AFV modellers.

HTK-A064 - Khaki Green No. 3 (G3) - No. 3 B.S. 381-1939. Also known as "Service Colour". Base Colour of British AFV between 1939-41. Also overall colour of some vehicles.
HTK-A075 - Dark Green No. 4 (G4) - No. 4 B.S.381-1939. Used as a darker shade in disruptive patterns of British AFV between 1939-41.
HTK-A076 - S.C.C. No. 2 Khaki Brown - No. 2 B.S.987C-1942. Also known as "Service Drab". Base colour of British AFV between 1941-44 (occasionally seen till 1945).
HTK-A077 - S.C:C. No. 1A Dark Brown - No. 1A B.S.987C-1942. Used as a darker shade in disruptive patterns between 1941-43 (incl. "Mickey Mouse" pattern).
HTK-A110 - S.C.C. No. 15 Olive Drab - No. 15 B.S.987C-1942. Base colour of British AFV in Europe from April 1944 till end of WW2.
HTK-A041 Night Black - S.C.C. No. 14. Used as a darker shade in disruptive patterns between 1943-45 (firstly over S.C.C. No. 2, then S.C.C. No. 15).
