Model Color, is a range of opaque and highly pigmented acrylic water-based colors, especially formulated for brush application on models and miniatures of resin, plastic or metal. The colors cover extremely well and extend easily without concealing the most minute details of the figures or vehicles. All the colors can be mixed with one another and dry to a mat, even finish without leaving traces of brushstrokes; they can be diluted with water or Vallejo Thinner ref. 70.524. For airbrushing it is recommended to dilute the colors with 50% Airbrush Thinner ref. 71.261. Possible mistakes can be corrected immediately with water or alcohol. Once dry, the colors are waterproof and permanent.
The range contains a selection of military colors with equivalencies to RAL, RLM and FS values, as well as metallic colors, glazes, transparent and fluorescent colors. The transparent colors can be applied directly for the tinting of headlights and signal lights; when diluted with Gloss Medium, these colors are ideal for tinting airplane or car windows (smoked glass). The glazes are used for a quick shading of the figure or model.

Model Air is a range of water-based, matte acrylic colors, developed especially for airbrushing. In the formulation of this range various new resins have been selected for qualities which up till now had not been achieved in water-based colors. The strength, resistance and covering power of Model Air is superior to any acrylic airbrush color currently available and also allows for application by brush to highlight the smallest details of the miniature. The pigments have been selected according to their degree of light-fastness and optimum micronization. The effects of washes and transparencies can be obtained by diluting the colors; all colors and varnishes can be mixed together and diluted with Airbrush Thinner. Color Range: The colours have been very carefully chosen to provide the modelpainter with the references most frequently employed. Tests have been carried out for over two years to develop the tonalities which correspond to the RLM, RAL and FS, BS and ANA colours commonly used. Colours can be mixed with one another, diluted with water, Model Air Thinner or Varnish or even alcohol, according to the effect desired, but we recommend the use of Model Air Thinner since this product conserves the properties of the colours.
