The Nibelungen treasure: In order to disempower the vengeful Krimhild, Hagen takes control of the Nibelungen hoard (treasure) and sinks it at night in the Rhine.
2.
1.Siegfried in the forge: This episode belongs to Siegfried's mythical youth and is told retrospectively by various knights in the song. He learns the blacksmith's craft from the magic dwarf Mime and forges his sword Balmung. With the sword still glowing, he fends off an assassination attempt by an envious man - hardened in the ice-cold blood of an alb (gnome), his sword now cuts everything, and Siegfried splits its anvil as a test. Thus equipped, he slays a dragon and bathes in its blood. Now no weapon can penetrate his skin. Only a lime leaf that falls on his back during the bath makes him vulnerable at this point. Later he fights for a cloak of invisibility and the legendary Nibelungen hoard, a great treasure. Loaded with honours and magical treasures, he returns to his native Xanten. Soon he seeks new adventures in the land of Burgundy.
Part 2: Quarrel of the queens in front of the cathedral: King Gunter's wife Brunhild quarrels with her sister-in-law Kriemhild about the right of way into the cathedral, because since the courtship she believes that her husband Siegfried is only a follower of Gunther. In anger, Kriemhild reveals that it was Siegfried with the cloak of invisibility who consummated the marriage in Gunther's place and thus robbed Brunhild of her superhuman powers. Deeply humiliated, Brunhild wins over the sinister Hagen of Tronje for her plans of revenge. Thus the fate takes its course.
Part 3: Siegfried's death: In order to be able to murder the cuckolded Siegfried, Hagen elicits from Kriemhild the secret of his vulnerable spot. When Siegfried drinks from a spring during the hunt, he is pierced by Hagen's spear.
4. part: Kriemhild's lament: Kriemhild mourns her murdered beloved. As Hagen approaches the bier, Siegfried's suddenly bleeding wounds betray the murderer. Kriemhild swears revenge.
(Nibelungenlied Part 1).
Gravure: Lecke / S.Maier, drawings: M.Winter

Series list for 100/79/1
No. 100-GD 2 (1x) Krimhild, in a threatening pose
No. 100-GS 5 (1x) Rock figure with bronze, helmet and shield
No. 100-GD 3 (1x) Retainer, with cloak, drawing sword
No. 100-GS 6 (1x) Bush and sword
No. 100-GD 4 (1x) Retainer, with cloak, holding up sword in scabbard
No. 100-GS 3 (1x) Siegfried, pierced by a spear
No. 100-GD 5 (1x) Retainer, right fist clenched, with cloak on his arm
No. 100-GS 4 (1x) Hagen, after the javelin throw
No. 100-GD 6 (1x) Retainer, excited posture, hand on sword hilt
No. 100-GK 1 (1x) Krimhild at Siegfried's bier
No. 100-GM 1 (1x) Siegfried, with split anvil
No. 100-GD 7 (1x) Retainer, waiting, left foot raised
No. 100-GK 2 (1x) Hagen, fully armed
No. 100-GM 2 (1x) Gnome Mime
No. 100-GD 8 (1x) henchman, drawing sword, pushing forward
No. 100-GK 3 (1x) Gunther, in household garb
No. 100-GM 3 (1x) Siegfried, forging a sword
No. 100-GS 1 (2x) Spring, with Siegfried drinking or without Siegfried
No. 100-GD 1 (1x) Krimhild, with raised right arm
No. 100-GS 2 (1x) Hagen, hurling spear
