The Sd.Kfz. 251 (Sonderkraftfahrzeug 251) was a German armoured half-track infantry fighting vehicle of World War II, developed by the Hanomag company on the basis of the unarmoured Sd.Kfz. 11 half-track.
With at least 15252 vehicles and variants produced by seven manufacturers, the Sd.Kfz. 251 became the most widely produced German half-track vehicles of the war.

History:

The 7.5 cm PaK 40, especially its mid- and late-production models, became a critical component of German anti-tank defenses during World War II. By 1942, these improved versions were deployed across all major fronts, demonstrating their effectiveness against a wide range of Allied armor.

Despite advancements in Allied tank design, which gradually reduced the guns relative effectiveness, the PaK 40 remained a mainstay of German forces until the war's end. The mid/late variants, with refinements in materials and production techniques, ensured their continued reliability and battlefield utility.

Even after 1945, these guns saw extended use in several countries, with some units finding their way through various routes to distant conflicts, including the war in Vietnam.

History:

The Messerschmitt P.1101 was a German experimental jet fighter concept developed during the final phase of World War II as part of the Jägernotprogramm (Emergency Fighter Program). This program was initiated by the Luftwaffe in 1944 to accelerate the development of advanced aircraft capable of countering the growing Allied air superiority.

The P.1101 was notable for its pioneering variable-sweep wing design, which allowed the angle of the wings to be adjusted for optimal performance at different speeds, an innovation aimed at improving both subsonic and supersonic flight capabilities.

Although the prototype's construction began in 1944, it was never completed due to the end of the war in 1945. The unfinished airframe was later captured by American forces and transported to the United States, where it influenced the design of the Bell X-5, the first aircraft to successfully implement variable-sweep wing technology.
