Johann Philipp Reis (* 7 January 1834 in Gelnhausen, Electorate of Hesse; 14 January 1874 in Friedrichsdorf) was a German physicist and inventor. By developing the first working device[1] for transmitting sounds over electric lines, he is considered a central pioneer of the telephone. From the collection "Große Deutsche" by Archiv Verlag. These figures, issued in a small edition, are little known and therefore very rare on the market. All figures in attractive patina (can also be painted) and on small wooden base (removable). With historical accompanying text to the figure.
