The Berlin Fire Department is the oldest professional fire department in Germany. It was founded in 1851. There are around 5,300 employees in 35 stations. This makes it not only the oldest, but also the largest professional fire department in the country. A further 58 volunteer fire departments with around 1,500 active volunteer members support the full-time firefighters. After a handful of "recently" released models (097338, 097444, 097819, 097956 and 098080), a VW Crafter box flat roof "Equipment vehicle rescue equipment" (GW-RettMat) is now being produced. The model is being released in a limited edition.
