Europe, circa 1690. Our series depicts a distinguished lady of the Baroque era whilst she is having a foot bath. At that very moment, a gentleman unexpectedly enters the room. The mere possibility that the admirer might catch a glimpse of the alluring sight of the unclothed female foot is enough to summon the chambermaid. She vigorously refuses him entry to the ladies? quarters, for the ladies are sparing with their charms and keep themselves covered.
