The Russian Tor-M2 air defence system is a further development of a short-range air defence system that was developed in the 1980s. After modernisation in 2008, it gained the ability to engage moving targets and cover convoys. The Tor-M2 can engage enemy aircraft, helicopters, cruise missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) at a range of up to 16 km and an altitude of up to 10 km.
