Plastic model kit of a Soviet fighter aircraft from the 1930s with 76 parts. Length built 83 mm. The Soviet fighter aircraft I-16 was the symbol of the Red Army Air Force in the 1930s. Its designer, N. N. Polikarpov, was known as the "king of fighter planes". The I-16 Type 5 was the second production version of this aircraft. With a new fairing and a more powerful M-25 engine, it reached speeds of up to 450 kilometres per hour. During production, the aircraft received new, reinforced wings, larger wheels and an open cockpit. Fighter aircraft of this type were used from 1936 to 1939 in the Spanish Civil War, in conflicts with Japan and Finland and in the early stages of the Second World War.
