Good cross-country ability is achieved due to the uniform load on the axles, adjustable tyre pressure and the use of cam differentials on the front and rear axles, as well as high ground clearance. The truck was repeatedly modernised during operation. The GAZ- 66-11 modification went into production in 1985. The vehicle was equipped with a central tyre pressure control system and modern lighting systems. In 1993, a new universal loading platform without wheel arches with increased internal dimensions was installed. This latest version of the "Shishiga" is shown in our model.
