Gabriel Raspe's depiction of the Polish army in 1775 is one of the earliest and most complete representations of the Polish army in the 18th century. 77 colour plates give an impression of the uniforms of the Polish infantry and cavalry in the last quarter of the 18th century. Each regiment is presented with an illustration of its uniform and some brief information (regimental name, organisation, regimental commander and chief, number of different posts in the regiment, regimental strength).
