Gold- und Silbersticker, Hersteller von Ehrenzeichen (bis 1918) und ihre Erzeugnisse, sowie die dekorationsbezogene Tätigkeit der Königlich Preußischen General-Ordens-Kommission (GOK). The two authors have endeavoured to present the differentiated decoration culture of the Prussian monarchy up to the year 1918 and, after earlier publications, to report even more completely on the artistry of the wearable decorations, which is no longer attainable from today's point of view, and to illustrate it with examples.
The large number of original contemporary illustrations should furthermore serve to increase the knowledge of collectors and those interested in such objects and thus contribute to the recognition and prevention of the extremely numerous imitations.
