Devil's Bridge of the Gotthard Road (Switzerland) in the narrow valley of the Reuss (Canton Uri), 100 feet above the river. On 25. September 1799, the Russians under Suworow (Suwarow, Alexander Wassiljewitsch Suworow-Rymnikski) against the French division Lecourbe (Count Claude-Jacques Lecourbe (also: Claude Joseph L.) was a French general.) forced the crossing over the inadequately destroyed Devil's Bridge (War of the II Coalition in 1799 to 1801). The bridge consists of four parts.
