Accompany archaeologists on their research "on earth, in water and in the air". What does everyday life actually look like for archaeologists and the numerous other experts on excavation campaigns, surveys or other archaeological projects? We follow 24 international and interdisciplinary teams "into the field", into the excavation houses, tents and laboratories, to experience at first hand the scientific, logistical and also human challenges of working in very different places: in the city, in the desert, underground, under water, in the mountains or in the air.
In addition to the everyday side effects of research under extreme conditions, the various methodological approaches are also presented. Archaeology is real teamwork.
