From the mid-15th to the early 17th centurya period commonly known as the Sengoku eraJapan was the scene of constant warfare among the *daimyo*, powerful feudal lords vying for power and supremacy. "Daimyo" is a tabletop game of mass battles set in this era. Players take on the role of a *daimyo*, leading a clan, raising an army, and crushing their enemies to unite Japan under their banner. At the heart of the game is the player's army, composed of individual units and groups of unitsknown as contingentswith unit characteristics determined by various types of dice. Players' commanders also take an active part in the fighting, possessing diverse abilities that can decisively turn the tide of battle. The rulebook includes a range of scenarios with varied themes and objectives, as well as a sophisticated yet accessible card-based campaign system that allows players to determine the fate of Japan.
