It is 410 A.D. Barbarians have crossed the Rhine and invade the Western Roman Empire. The Visigoths have sacked Rome and the Huns appear on the borders of the Empire, having devastated the lands of Eastern Europe. To counter the threat to the heartlands of the Roman Empire, the Romans have abandoned Britain and are returning to the continent. The Britannians are now left to fend for themselves, facing the threat of Picts and Saxons alone. The coming century sees kingdoms rise and fall again. Prepare your warrior band for battle alongside Rome or against the once mighty empire.

In this expansion to the "Saga" tabletop strategy game system, readers will find six new factions in the form of the late ancient Romans, Britons, Saxons, Goths, Picts and Huns. Furthermore, there are new heroes and legendary units for the new warring nations, new mercenary units that can be hired by the individual factions, as well as rules that make it possible to import already existing factions into the game world of the epoch of the invasions (Migration Period). There are also four game scenarios and a complete campaign in which a lonely frontier base has to hold its own against a superior force of barbarians. The expansion set can either be combined with "Saga. Dark Ages Skirmishes" or with "Saga. The Crescent & the Cross".
