From 1982 to 2022, the F122-class frigates ("Bremen"-class) were in service for the German Navy and later for the German Navy. Originally planned to meet the demands of the Cold War, the frigates proved themselves in numerous foreign missions after the temporary end of the East-West conflict and earned their reputation as reliable "workhorses" of the German Navy.
