This figure dates from around the 5th Century before Christ and is a small "taster" of our upcoming "World of Ancient Greece" series which will be released later this year. These ancient 'sea-soldiers' wore composite armour made up of overlapping leather together with flexible metal scales covering the mid-section. Our figure carries a single-edge sword and a shield painted with the anchor symbol of the Athenian navy. On his head is a "Corinthian" - style helmet complete with crested plume.
