Supporting volume to the first major thematic exhibition in Germany's only Living History Museum. All exhibits are depicted as portraits, worn by actors for living history. Functional headgear and professional models, women's headgear in the High and Late Middle Ages (mainly nobility) and male headgear of the entire Middle Ages are presented. More than 40 reconstructions are shown, providing inspiration for museums and performers well beyond the giving and the wearing of the crested headdress.
