Colour profiles, bw drawings and sketches show the structural and technical details of the British battleship H.M.S. "Royal Oak", a veteran of World War 1, which gained fame mainly by becoming the most popular victim of the daring attack of the German submarine commander Günther Prien (U-47) on the British naval base Scapa Flow in October 1939. All the structural changes made to the "Royal Oak" over the years are documented by the photographic material.
