At the latest with the development of the 170 to 195 series, initially called ERJ, Embraer Regional Jet, the Brazilian company Embraer is one of the big players in modern aircraft manufacturing and has been the market leader in the size class up to 150 seats for years. With numerous improvements and newly developed components, such as the wings and engines, Embraer achieved a significant increase in economy and range with the new generation of its "E-Jets".
