Georg von Frundsberg, also known as George and Jörg or von Fronsberg and Freundsberg (* 24 September 1473 in Mindelheim; 20 August 1528 ibid.), was a southern German soldier and lansquenet leader in imperial Habsburg service. He is considered one of the most important German infantry tacticians and war entrepreneurs of the early modern period. His name is closely associated with the protracted battles of the Habsburg Emperor Maximilian I and Emperor Charles V for supremacy in Northern Italy. Among other things, Frundsberg is known for his motto "Much enemy, much honour!", which has become a catchphrase.
