"The Sound of Music? Cant we just get tickets for that other film with Karloff? I promise you wont be scared at all in the back seat if I hold you tight enough, Cindy" said Jack with his signature charming grin while putting a cigarette in his mouth.
But Cindy was determined to see that new musical movie that everybody was talking about. "Last week we went to that dusty Western thing from that guy who wears a poncho all the time, so it is my turn to choose", she said looking Jack over the edge of her glasses.
There was something in the way she looked with those cute glasses that he found overwhelmingly charming the very instant they met. He couldnt say no to her.
...
Julie Andrews was doing her thing on the screen, singing, and dancing while surrounded by those nicely behaving kids, but Cindy couldnt help to give some sneaky looks to Jack. He was fascinated and truly moved by the film! It was just their second date and it seemed to her that he was the type of guy that tried really hard to project a leather-clad, tough-guy image but, on the inside, he was soft and tender like apple pie.
As soon as the whole Von Trapp family finished crossing the Swiss border to safety and the ending titles appeared on the screen, Jack stood on his feet, clapping and visibly excited. Cindy looked at him with a surprised smile. "What?" he said, turning to her while trying to conceal some tears of joy. She loved him right from that moment.
