Johannes Erwin Eugen Rommel (* 15 November 1891 in Heidenheim an der Brenz; Ä 14 October 1944 in Herrlingen) was a German field marshal during the Nazi era. His deployment während the African campaign in North Africa earned him the nickname äWüstenfuchsô.
