Jean-David Nau (1635 - 1667), called FranÅ¡ois lĺOlonnais after his birthplace in the VendÃe, was a French Buccaneer active in the Caribbean in the 1660s. He is considered one of the cruellest pirate capitäne wäuring the so-called "golden age" of piracy.
