Volume 25 of the series "Les Batailles Oubliees" describes with the battle on the Catalaunian Fields the climax of the Hunnic advance into western Europe. However, to this day a whole series of myths, inconsistencies and ignorance surround this legendary battle between the forces led by Attila and the force of Roman soldiers and allies commanded by the Roman general Aetius, consisting of "barbarian" auxiliaries".
The author assembles here the current and established factual knowledge from historical and archaeological research to give a modern and, as far as possible, well-founded picture of the course and effects of the battle on the Catalaunian Fields.
