Description
Volume 61 of the "Warpaint series". Designed with both the aircraft enthusiast and the modeller in mind, this series offers a comprehensive and accurate account of a single aircraft type within each issue. Drawings provided in both colour side and plan view with 1:72 scale plans, kit decal and accessory lists, squadrons, units and individual aircraft serials in codes, etc. With a career spanning twenty years the Savoia Marchetti SIAI S.79 was certainly the most important aircraft to emerge from the Italian Air Force between the World Wars. Blooded for the first time in Spain it went onto win fame and notoriety as a torpedo bomber of exceptional ability.
