Description
The birth of the Hungarian railway was in 1846, during which time it conquered the whole of Europe and, of course, Hungary. However, most visitors to Hungary do not associate the railway with the country, but rather with terms such as Balaton, Puszta and paprika. Wrongly so, because Hungary's state railway not only offers many connections throughout the country, but also an interesting fleet of traction vehicles for railway enthusiasts, ranging from historic steam locomotives to modern diesel railcars. Thomas Estler presents the change and the variety of types in this type compass briefly and competently.
