Description
Detailed and richly illustrated description of the operations of the French Marshal Massena in Portugal in 1810, focusing on the battle of Bussaco on 27 September 1810, the invasion of Portugal by French troops and, as a consequence of the battle of Bussaco, the capture of Coimbra by Massena and his soldiers. Furthermore, the booklet shows the battlefield of that time in its present appearance, explains a painting by an unknown painter showing Napoleon I's visit to the port of Cherbourg, presents a confidant (Travot) and a known opponent (Solano) of Napoleon Bonaparte, and deals with the organisation and uniforming of the troops of the Grand Duchy of Würzburg.
