This volume presents those French pilots who, as members of the forces of Free France, took part in the air battles in the skies over Normandy on 6 June 1944. However, this is not only a documentation of the pilots and their role in the fighting, but also a description of the squadrons of Free French air forces involved in Operation Overlord and the aircraft they flew, most of which were of British manufacture.
