Descriptionof Diesen Schuss der ganzen Welt. Der Aufstieg der Waffenfabrik Mauser und die kaiserliche Weltpolitik bis 1914

Manufacturer
In the three decades before the First World War, Mauser rifles had become famous all over the world. Krupp and Mauser were the two brands that led the steadily growing military export trade. Although the Mauser factories were among the great successes of German industry, their international position has never been described against the background of the imperialist foreign trade policy of the German Empire.
Heidi Zogbaum deals intensively for the first time with this aspect of the Mauser success story: from the beginnings of the creator Paul Mauser, gunsmith from Oberndorf am Neckar, to the progressive industrialist Isidor Loewe from Berlin, who acquired large shares in the company and eventually founded the Deutsche Waffen- und Munitionsfabriken (German Weapons and Ammunition Factories), through which Mauser weapons achieved worldwide fame, and rose to become the second major armaments cartel after Krupp.
