Description
In keeping with its original task of German coastal protection, the Imperial Navy had, among other things, fast boats and torpedo boats. The task of the German speedboats was primarily to attack British monitors - warships in shallow coastal waters and on rivers. Torpedo boats, on the other hand, were also considered an effective and relatively cheap method against large ships of the line thanks to their torpedo armament. In this type compass, Eckhard Klien presents all the fast and torpedo boats that were used in the Imperial German Navy between 1872 and 1918.
