Volume 26 of the Helion Wargames series. This is a rulebook for wargames with miniature figures. It covers the massive, spectacular battles that shook Japan at the end of the 16th century. With these rules, you can re-enact the battles of Kawanakajima and Sekigahara! Command armies on a Napoleonic scale, using sophisticated tactical systems unique to Japan. Decide on your battle plans. Command your subordinates! Prevent betrayal. Combine spearmen, archers, crossbowmen, artillery and cavalry into mixed forces, or concentrate your cavalry to sweep the enemy from the battlefield! The game is designed for miniatures of any size and is particularly suitable for smaller scales such as 2 mm, 6 mm, 10 mm and 15 mm. The rules describe the massive battles of the period, in which armies ranging from 20,000 to 100,000 men clashed. The game reflects the unique mixed weaponry of the period, as well as the often ingenious battle formations. The games are played on a table divided into square fields or not, if the players prefer to use more traditional dimensions and movement rules. The troops stand on bases with several figures on a single base. There are also elements or half bases, which are used to support larger formations (archers, cannons, supply units, etc.). The bases can be any size, so there is no need to re-base troops created for other systems. The game systems create unique characteristics for the clans' troops and their commanders. The various grand commanders may also have rivalries with each other that can thwart even the best plans!
