Description
Truck modellers have been something of a sub-group for many years, with very little quality literature available to them. This book redresses the balance and opens up the world of truck models to modellers old and new. Building truck kits is different to other subjects and requires a different approach in adding missing details and authenticity. It is not only about assembly and painting, but closely related to real vehicles, their design and function. Paints, tools and airbrush techniques can be found in many books, but this work is solely dedicated to trucks and their scale replicas, providing all the information one needs. The book aims to provide all the information necessary to complete an authentically detailed truck model. It provides five separate building chapters, each focused on different levels of information, starting with basic assembly of modern US tractors and increasing the difficulty via a detailed modern European truck to a heavily modified classic European tractor. Additional chapters focus on related topics, such as light commercial vehicles and resin conversions. The book concludes with a lavish gallery of models, providing a wealth of inspiration.
