Description
This 3rd volume of the chronicle on the course of the 1st World War in the colony of German South-West Africa deals with the events in the south of the colony and is divided as follows: 1. the front against Lüderitzbucht; 2. the South African advance in the south and south-east; 3. the battle at Kakamas. Again, the author provides the reader with a precise and chronological sequence of events in the south of the colony of German South-West Africa. The author not only looked at German literature on the subject but also at English literature, unpublished material such as letters and diaries as well as newspaper cuttings offer a more differentiated picture than, for example, the "official" publications of the "Reichsarchiv".
