Description
In this booklet, former Schutztruppen officer Walther Wülfing describes a little-known story from the former protectorate of German South-West Africa. It is about the expedition against the gang leader Kanjemi into the Omaheke. Similar to Captain Friedrich Erckert's expedition against the Nama leader Simon Copper, the German Captain Hans Hollaender planned a pursuit against Kanjemi, who undertook his raids from the endless expanses of the Omaheke (Sand Field).
This story, however, is not about a mission to the Schutztruppe, but it is a police mission for the Kaiserliche Landespolizei. For more than a whole year Captain Hollaender meticulously planned this mission, which was then successfully carried out in June.
