Description
Folder 30 of the series "Contributions to Saxon Military History between 1793 and 1813". From November 1813 to April 1814, Saxony, which had been expropriated, raised over 17,800 men of Landwehr infantry in 21 battalions and 2 companies, in addition to a new line army under foreign governorship. This booklet describes the organisation, uniforming, armament, equipment and training of the Saxon Landwehr in the years 1813 to 1815 on the basis of the files of the Dresden Main State Archives and contemporary illustrations.
